To my personnal opinion this is the best recordings from this artist. He sounds mature, his voice is a little lower than on his earlier recordings. That is too bad that peoples didn't respond well. All they wanted to hear from Elvis were his hit from the 50's. They should take a few minute to listen carefully to those recordings and maybe they would appreciate them more...
RispondiEliminaSo true, that 69' recording session was amazing. His fans were so caught up in a time warp that they could not appreciate just how incredible it really was. I am such a huge fan of his bluesy voice which came out strong in the 1969 recordings. I just love those songs.
